I have been skiing and snowboarding my entire life. I have been wanting to explore outside resorts and learn more about what the Backcountry has to offer. I will be taking my AIARE 1 course at the end of this month. I have all the necessary equipment, but currently my knowledge and experience is limited to uphilling resorts. I am 38, based out of Spokane, I'm willing to travel for opportunities and experiences.

If you are a member of the Spokane Mountaineers, they're offering a Backcountry Ski "School" starting next month. Part of the class requirement is taking an Avy 1 class, which you already have scheduled. Otherwise, it's getting together, talking topics on Wednesdays and getting off the beaten runs on Saturdays (Ullr willing). It's really focused on building relationships with like-minded and skilled people.
